Rachel and Craig's South Causey Inn wedding was, in a word, awesome.
It started at Rachel's mum Denise's house for the bridal preparations, the girls all kitted out with their "Team Bride" t-shirts. When the car arrived to take them to the venue there was still the small matter of a dress to go on, so Rachel did the only thing a sensible person would in this situation, and opened a packet of Percy Pigs.
I can honestly say I've never seen a dress going on, hair being done and make up being applied all at the same time, but the girls somehow managed it and the result was a stunning (and slightly late) bride. Props to Lisa Cameron - wedding hair stylist/dress fitter extraordinaire!
When I arrived at South Causey Inn the registrars were looking more nervous than the groom, but Rachel got there in the nick of time. We then had a nearly-lost ring and a nearly-burnt wedding dress, but eventually we had a happy and relieved husband and wife!
After the ceremony we headed over to Tanfield Railway station for some photos and then back to South Causey Inn for the speeches and meal. We even had a surprise special guest in the form of Max Branning of Eastender's fame (literally in the form of- it was a cardboard cut out!)
After the meal the girls ventured outside for some fun photos which mainly consisted of seeing who could pull the most hideous face, before someone made the unexpected discovery of a suitcase full of bikinis! Of course they had to go on (on top of their dresses of course - where else?!)
Just when I thought that couldn't be topped, I was treated to a full dance routine to MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" by the girls - how Rachel pulled that off in a wedding dress is beyond me!
Great day, great memories. Have a fantastic life together guys.
