It's always nice to have a wedding just up the road, and Derwent Manor is just that - only a five minute drive (although with the way the wind was blowing on Natalie and Dan's big day I think it would've been quicker to open a brolly and arrive Mary Poppins style!)
When I arrived I found the girls getting ready in their matching PJs, with the champagne flowing to ease any possible pre-wedding nerves! After the ceremony it was time to get some photos of the happy couple and their families, followed by my favourite part of a wedding - the speeches! This time I was treated to a rendition of Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" by Natalie's dad Allan, with lyrics rewritten about his "high spend girl" and her "Chopwell lad"!
I left the happy couple after their first dance, but not before capturing some great shapes being cut on the dancefloor (although the kids were definitely showing the grown ups how it's done!)
If, like Natalie and Dan you are looking for a Newcastle wedding photographer to tell the story of your special day, please get in touch.
