Autumn is a great time of year to get married - and Hexham is the perfect place for a North East autumn wedding. Hexham's park, The Sele, is beautiful at this time of year.
I was really looking forward to getting some nice shots of the happy couple among the autumn leaves, but there was a wedding to attend to first so the first port of call was Kieran's parents' house in Throckley, where I was able to capture some oh-so-tender moments between Kieran and best man Joe.
From there it was on to The Duke of Wellington, a lovely inn in the tiny hamlet of Newton, where Karry was readying herself for her big day. Daughter Lily and Maid-of-Honour Maxine were on hand to help and the end result was a stunning bride - Kieran was sure to be impressed.
We headed over to Hexham for the ceremony at the Queen's Hall Art Centre, with photos after in the beautiful park. Karry and Kieran had their first date in Hexham, which was one of the reasons for them choosing this location and they had their first kiss by the bandstand, so of course we had to recreate that scene!
It was then back to the Duke of Wellington, or "The Wellie" as it is affectionately known, for the meal and speeches. One piece of advice I have for anyone facing the prospect of making a speech at a wedding is "don't stand in front of a picture of a bull with big horns and floppy ears". It was too good an opportunity to miss though!
This was just one of many fun moments in what was a really enjoyable day. All the best Kieran and Karry!
